Essential Staff

Katie was born and raised in Rockaway, NJ, where she completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education at Montclair State University.  She recently moved to Myrtle Beach with her husband of two years, her one year old son, and her two dogs Bella and Guinness.  Katie has had over 7 years of experience working with children ages birth through 12 years old.  She has worked in a daycare setting teaching Infants through Pre-Kindergarten and has also worked in a public school teaching Kindergarten through Fifth Grade.  Katie also was a nanny to a family working with two children from birth to age 6.  She enjoys spending time with her family, friends, traveling, horseback riding, reading, and going to the beach.   Katie has been working on a new and improved curriculum for Essential Childcare and is looking forward to helping your children succeed in all areas.
